Upbeats DJ’s produces the best music for school dances on the planet! We subscribe to the industry’s best music programming service that updates our library monthly. All of our music is edited by our very own staff and surpasses FCC guidelines for radio airplay. We also screen all music for age-appropriateness at your particular event. We are always happy to accommodate student music requests and can honor a “do not play” list, as well!

Although our talent, expertise, and musical abilities come first, our sound and lighting systems are the tools we use to perform. We use name brands such as Denon, Yorkville, Crown, Martin and Chauvet. We perform using complete digital sound system using both CDs and digital audio. With the latest technology and backup gear built in and on site, you are guaranteed a fantastic worry-free dance.

For peace of mind, of course we use written contracts and conduct our business professionally, and are fully insured; however, we never let formalities get in the way of good business. We gladly accept school purchase orders, working With schools on an individual basis on getting their deposits turned in and securing their event dates is key.

We know that many school dances are held as fund raisers. We also feel it is important for you to keep the vast majority of the revenue generated from your dance. However, remember that your DJ will bear a great responsibility in the success of your dance. By choosing quality DJ entertainment consistently, your students will know to expect a good time at your dances, increasing dance attendance over time. Professional rates for DJ entertainment range from $350-$1,000+ depending on the type of event and the entertainment desired. And with our Advanced Lighting Systems (ALS) many schools have learned to roll their decoration budget into the entertainment budget to allow us to paint a mind blowing picture with music, lights and effects.

In a nutshell, we have designed our business from the start to work with schools. Doug the owner has worked with high schools since 1984 and understands the unique requirements of schools from the booking process all the way through the actual performance. We perform over 100 school events each year all over the mid-west and have a staff that is energetic and trained to work with schools. We want your dances to be student-centered and fun, while also being appropriate for a school environment.
